The Yellownape tripplefin (''Enneapterygius flavoccipitis''), also known as the Northern bicoloured triplefin in Australia〔(Common names for ''Enneapterygius flavoccipitis'' ) at www.fishbase.org.〕 is a species of threefin blenny in the genus ''Enneapterygius''.〔(''Enneapterygius flavoccipitis'' ) at www.fishbase.org.〕 ==Etymology== The species was originally described by German ichthyologist Ronald Fricke in 1994, as ''Enneapterygius 1994''.〔Fricke, R., 1994 ''Tripterygiid fishes of Australia, New Zealand and the southwest Pacific Ocean (Teleostei).'' Theses Zoologicae v. 24: i-ix + 1-585.〕 It was later identified by Hoese et al. in 2006〔Hoese, D.F., D.J. Bray, J.R. Paxton and G.R. Allen 2006 ''Fishes.'' In Beasley, O.L. and A. Wells (eds.) Zoological Catalogue of Australia. Volume 35. ABRS & CSIRO Publishing: Australia Part 1, pp. xxiv 1-670; Part 2, pp. xxi 671-1472; Part 3, pp. xxi 1473-2178.〕 as a synonym of ''E. flavoccipitis'', described by S.C.
